School House

School House is the original school building on the present site, dating from 1776.

Boys up to 5th Form are accommodated in School House and are usually in rooms of two or four-beds, each with ample storage facilities for clothes and personal items. 5th Form pupils are given a workspace, whilst younger year groups undertake supervised prep with the duty staff.

School House has a common room with a smart television, Playstation and music facilities. There is a games room with a pool table and a good supply of books, magazines and games.  The boarding house is adjacent to The Long Room, and has access to a HD projector and surround sound speaker system; the perfect home cinema.

There is a newly refurbished kitchen where supper is prepared for the boys each evening. With its family feel, School House is a great community. The House has the capacity to accommodate 54 boys comfortably and is a very enjoyable and comfortable place to live.

School House celebrates success in every area of School life, whether it be sport, music, drama, art, academic or service to others in any way. The House is proud of its happy atmosphere, and tries to offer something for everyone; whether a budding sportsman who enjoys large groups, or a quieter atmosphere with a couple of friends. Each individual has a right to be themselves, and those individuals combine to make School House what it is; a fun, caring, and homely place to live.
