Guinevere - known as Guine - is a happy, lively community of about 45 girls set in a purpose built boarding house with beautiful views over the school and Oswestry town.
Guinevere has spacious common rooms and a well-equipped kitchen. Guinevere can accommodate girls in a variety of rooms with bedrooms for girls up to 5th Form having three or four beds in each room together with ample storage facilities for clothes and personal items.
Sixth Form girls share an annex, which is attached to the main building by a small corridor, where the rooms are designed for two to share. All bedrooms are a good size and each girl has her own study desk. There are eight double rooms in the Sixth Form annex, four on each floor. Each floor has its own bathroom facilities and there is a separate kitchen. The annex is reserved solely for the Sixth Form students.
There is also residential accommodation for the Housemistress and Assistant Housemistresses.
Guinevere girls pride themselves on their community spirit and supportive ethos - almost all communal rooms are available for anyone to use, so inter-year friendships abound. There is an excellent pastoral team and a buddy system for new pupils, which means that they settle quickly. The girls are happy and comfortable with their work and their environment and this underpins life at Guinevere. Participation is very much encouraged.
