Pupils enjoy work experience at the Pro Hair Live Exhibition

Two Sixth Form pupils were lucky enough to be invited to work at the Pro Hair Live exhibition by local businessman and entrepreneur, Neil Ruby.

The exhibition is held each year in Manchester Central, an iconic venue in the heart of the city. Neil Ruby exhibits there each year with his company, It&ly Hair and Beauty Ltd.

Chole Pace-Bonello and Itoro Umanah travelled to Manchester at the end of half term. Chloe said, “This was one of the best experiences I have had; through setting up the stand on the first day to learning all about the products. We learned a huge amount in a short period of time and although we were nervous about serving our first customers, the quickly disappeared in the rush of buying and selling.

“On the second day, with a greater knowledge of the products we were selling, communications with the customer became much easier and we were able to sell with more confidence.

“At the end of the show, we were amazed by how quickly the stock was packed away and the stand dismantled.

“It was a fantastic experience and we would both be keen to work with It&ly Hair and Beauty again should the opportunity present itself.”
