Swimming

Oswestry School swimming is at the forefront of providing a progression pathway throughout all the academic year groups.

All pupils at Bellan House have weekly swimming lessons from Reception to Year 6 ensuring that each child has the necessary
water skills to swim confidently and safely in partnership with the national curriculum Key Stage 2, a service which is not provided at other schools.

The swimming awards allow pupils to progress their water skills from learning to swim to experiencing the different disciplines in the aquatic world, ranging from competitive, artistic, water polo, diving, and life-saving.

Oswestry School are proud to host talented athletes that have gone on to English and Welsh talent programmes. We are also proud that our international students have showcased at World Championship level.

The swimming opportunities at Oswestry School also give pupils the chance to become outstanding in the fields of triathlons, biathlons, pentathlons, open water and fin swimming.
