How to get to Oswestry School

By Air:

Manchester and Birmingham International airports are a 1 hour journey by car and have regular scheduled flights from all UK, European and International destinations. Liverpool is also 1 hour away but has more limited destinations.

 

By Rail:

The nearest station is Gobowen, approximately a 10 minute taxi journey away.

 

By Road:

Sat Nav / GPS Systems: Enter SY11 2TL

Oswestry School is on the outskirts of the town of Oswestry and a 20 minute drive away from Shrewsbury or Chester.

From the North

(Manchester, Liverpool and all points north). Aim for Chester and North Wales on the M56, bypass Chester on the M53 and A55 and then take the A483 towards Wrexham. Remain on the A483, bypassing Wrexham, and then join the A5. Continue on the A5 to Oswestry continuing straight across three roundabouts. At the fourth roundabout (A5 rejoins the A483) take the last exit (B4579) towards Oswestry. Continue into the town going straight across the Morrison's roundabout. At the traffic lights bear left onto Victoria Road and continue to the next set of traffic lights. Travel straight across to Upper Brook Street. The School is on the right hand side.

From the South

(Birmingham direction). From the M54 follow signs for North Wales and continue along the A5 Shrewsbury bypass. At the Mile End roundabout take the third exit (B4579) towards Oswestry. Continue into the town going straight across the Morrison's roundabout. At the traffic lights bear left onto Victoria Road and continue to the next set of traffic lights. Travel straight across to Upper Brook Street. The School is on the right hand side.
