Super year for our musicians in the Oswestry Youth Music Festival

The Oswestry Youth Music Festival was another success this year, and none more so than for our talented musicians.

Pupils placed in 23 of the classes, with 13 of those placing First.

Director of Performing Arts, Claire Thompson, said, “I was thrilled by the amount of pupils taking part in the Festival this year. This wonderful event catered for every musical taste and our pupils held their own.

"The children wouldn’t have been able to achieve this without the wonderful team of Peri music teachers, who inspire and support the pupils in all their musical endeavours. This year, particularly, I am proud of our staff, our parents for their never ending support, and our pupils who, as always, have shown talent and resilience, but also a sense of pride for their music and their school.”

Thanks go to Debi Lumley-Edwards and Mrs Turner for their tireless help.
