Open Mornings & Taster Days

We host a number of open mornings and taster days throughout the year for your child to get to know Oswestry School better. Your child will be able to sample a mixture of academic lessons and some of our co-curricular activities. Please express your interest below.

Bellan House Open Morning

If you would like your child to experience what makes Oswestry School different from other schools, we invite you to book a place for our Open Morning.

You will be shown around the school and there will be plenty of opportunity for you and your child to interact with members of staff and find out more about life at Bellan House and extra-curricular activities that we offer.

Senior School Open Morning

  •    9.30am: Tours of Oswestry School (entry ages 11-18)

Our Open Morning is a perfect way to come and see the School and our facilities as well as meet our staff and pupils. You will be shown around the school by one of our Prefects and there is plenty of opportunity for you and your child to interact with members of staff and find out more about the subjects and extra-curricular activities that we offer. Admissions staff are on hand to explain our admissions procedures, provide information and answer any questions.

Sixth Form Information Evening

  •    6.30pm: Faculty Tours (entry ages 16-18)

Oswestry School Sixth Form is unlike any other Sixth Form in the area. We offer an entirely bespoke and broad timetable of A Level options.

If you are interested in pursuing the subjects you love – whether academic, creative, or both – and would like to choose from over 60 extra-curricular activities, then Oswestry School is the place for you.

For girls and boys in Years 10 and 11 considering their Sixth Form options.

Excellent Inspection

We are delighted to report that our full ISI Inspection 2016 resulted in the best possible outcome for Oswestry School. The report showed the school to be one of the best in Shropshire and the surrounding area with the school being awarded  six top grades out of nine. We were found to be compliant in all areas and ‘excellent’ in our curriculum and co-curriculum provision, personal development, pastoral care, boarding, pupil welfare and governance (the top grading).
