British Physics Olympiads awards

The very best of our budding physicists in 4th, 5th and Lower Sixth excelled in our January mock exams and were invited to take part in this year's British Physics Olympiad, run by Oxford University.

Significant preparation was required, practising past papers and meeting up in Science Club to discuss strategies and exam technique. Rapid-fire tutorials gave some 4th Form pupils a whirlwind introduction into A level territory. Fortuitously, the written exam was undertaken just before the COVID-19 disruption took hold, and several pupils earned awards. Particularly impressive was Rustam, in 4th Form, who came second in our GCSE team.
