Senior School
The Parents’ Association was set up with the dual role of fostering relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the School as well as raising funds to support the School and the education of its pupils.
The Parents’ Association organises a number of events each year which are intended to entertain pupils, parents and staff, and at the same time raise funds to help with items not directly associated with the curriculum. In this way, this year we have had the spectacular Fireworks Night, and as well as a disco for Lower and Middle Schools, we will shortly begin preparations for the ever-popular Variety Night, in which children and adults alike have the chance to showcase their talents in a range of performances. We will also be providing refreshments at Sports Day, and then on to our major fund raising event of the year, the Summer Ball, held each year after Speech Day.
The funds raised by the Parents’ Association have been spent in many different areas in the school – we have provided support for the Netball tour to
We are always open to new members, so if you would like to get involved in helping to raise additional funds for the School, and have rather good fun whilst doing it, please contact any of the Committee:

200 Club
The Oswestry School Parents’ Association 200 Club started in September 2003.
The 200 Club helps to raise funds for Oswestry School as well as providing an element of a ‘Lottery’ for the parents, in that half the proceeds from the Club go back to the subscribers in the form of cash prizes, and half the proceeds are retained by the Parents’ Association to provide ‘extras’ for our children that the School would otherwise be unable to fund.
Subscriptions to the 200 Club are £40 per year, or £10 per quarter, an equivalent of only 77p per week, and 10 draws are made each year with bonus draws at Christmas and July. Last year the smaller draws were £50 each, and the two larger draws were £120 each.
All parents are encouraged to join the 200 Club. Anyone interested should contact Anne Lewis, 200 Club Secretary, either through the Headmaster’s PA or telephone direct to Anne on 01978 758267.
