    Sixth Form Information Evening

This evening will be open to students currently in Year 11 and their parents.  Visitors from other schools are also very welcome. Discover the wide variety of opportunities and support offered by the Sixth Form at Oswestry School.  The Headmaster, Head of Sixth Form and subject Heads of Departments are on hand to offer advice/guidance.

The main points of entry into the School are at ages 4, 6+, 9, 11, 13 or 16 years, though pupils may join us at any age and at any stage throughout the year, provided there are places and the entry requirements are met. Boarders are accepted from the age of 9.

We require all applicants, where possible, to attend an informal interview with the Headmaster or, in the case of the pre-prep department, the Headmistress.  Prospective pupils then spend a day in school with us (or an overnight stay in the case of boarders).   We also take the report from the current school into account, where applicable.

Pupils from the age of 6 weeks to 4 years are catered for by our excellent Nursery, Oswestry School Prepcare.  Thus, our pupils have the opportunity to benefit from a seamless transition in their education right through to "A" levels at 18 years.

Pupils from other schools are admitted each year; entry into the Sixth Form is dependent upon a good report from the previous school, an interview, and satisfactory GCSE results.  International students are welcome, with the Senior School having 14 nationalities represented.
