History at A-level
Year 12
The Year 12 group is studying the AQA course which is divided into 2 equally weighted modules:
- Britain 1483-1529 (Unit HIS1B)
- Anti-Semitism, Hitler and the German People, 1919-1945 (Unit HIS2N)

Year 13
The Year 13 group is studying the AQA course which is divided into 2 modules:
- The Triumph of Elizabeth: Britain 1547-1603 (Unit HIS3B) examined in the summer and worth 30% of the A level
- HIS4X the Historical Enquiry (course work) worth 20% of the A level
History at GCSE
Year 10
The Year 10 groups are studying Edexcel Syllabus A ‘The Making of the Modern World’ which is divided into 4 modules worth 25% each:
- Germany 1918-39 (Unit 2A)
- The Transformation of British Society c1903-28 (Unit 3A)
- Vietnam 1960-1975 (CA5 Controlled Assessment)
- Peace and War: International Relations 1900-1991 (Unit 1)

The Year 11 groups are studying Edexcel Syllabus B ‘Schools History Project’ which is divided into 4 modules worth 25% each:
- Life in Germany c1919-c1945 (Unit 2C)
- The Transformation of Surgery c1845-1918 (Unit 3A)
- Vietnam 1960-1975 (CA5 Controlled Assessment)
- Medicine and Treatment (Unit 1A)
