John Tilley OO

John Tilley's ashes were interred in the school grounds, opposite School House near the site of John's Stevenson Screen, following a short service at 1300 on Sunday, November 25th in the School Chapel.  The service was given by Canon John Edge.

A monkey puzzle tree has been planted in his memory.  Those of you who have been associated with the school for a long time may remember that there was a fine specimen of a monkey puzzle tree in the school grounds until it was killed off in the exceptionally hard frosts of the winter 1981/82; it seemed appropriate to plant a new specimen of the same kind.

Light refreshments were served in the Archive Room immediately afterwards.
