U13, U12 v Moreton Hall (a) 4.40pm

U13

The U13s were very slow starting in this match, making too many basic mistakes with catching and passing.  It was frustrating as we had spent a great deal of time in practices working on space awareness and shooting techniques, but, for some reason, the girls failed to bring these practices into the match. Things improved after the second quarter, the girls settled more and reacted better to the pressure of a match situation, taking the lead.  Team positions were changed and the U13s continued to increase their lead significantly.
Oswestry won 26 - 5

U12

Again, the girls were unable to bring to the match the skills we had worked on in practices, which meant we were unable to contain a very good Moreton Hall centre court combination, who were setting up every opportunity for their shooters, who rarely missed.  It is to the U12s' credit that, although they were trailing badly in the score line, they never gave up and encouraged each other all the time.
Oswestry lost 5 - 28
