Holbache Boarders in ‘Tree For All’

Oswestry School sixth form boarders this week joined forces with the Woodland Trust, the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity, to plant native trees and shrubs in the grounds around their boarding house.

It is all part of the Woodland Trust’s ‘Tree For All’ campaign, the largest tree-planting mission the UK has ever seen.  Launched in 2004, the five-year project will see one million young people plant 12 million trees, encouraging a respect for the environment.

The Trust provides a free pack of 30 native broadleaved trees or shrubs (enough for a small grove or short length of hedge) which come with guidance on planting and maintenance.

Here, assistance is given by Lewys, son of houseparents Amanda and Andy Price, and the youngest member of Holbache!
