Learning To Play The Harp

Beth Hulme and Quiana Booker, pupils from Year 4 at Bellan House, Oswestry School, have started lessons to learn to play the harp.

Learning on her concert harp, with 46 strings and pedals to change the pitch of the strings, Beth was first to start, with Quiana taking it up soon afterwards playing the slightly smaller Celtic harp.

The girls are taught at school by Mrs Bickerton, harp teacher from Llanrhaeadr.  This is the first time that the harp has been taught at Bellan.
