To close the Season, we are truly fortunate and honoured to present one of the greatest pianists of our age, Alfred Brendel. His long and very distinguished career - in 1998 he celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of his professional debut! - encompasses regular appearances with all the world’s greatest orchestras and conductors, and his list of magnificent recordings goes on and on.
His appearance here will be sandwiched between concerts at Birmingham (Symphony Hall) and Berlin (Simon Rattle and the Berlin Philharmonic) and his programme, to be played on his own piano-sonatas by Haydn, Beethoven and Mozart, and two Schubert Impromptus, is sure to enthral everyone present.
Music lovers will need no further enticement to book early for this concert. Seating will be strictly limited!
