Wednesday 1 November 2006 at 7.30pm
The CLCO, comprising over forty of London’s finest musicians and founded in 1987 by Thomas Hull (who leads tonight’s concert), has developed into one of London’s most innovative and respected young professional orchestras, performing regularly at St. John’s Smith Square, QEH, and the Barbican.
It has collaborated with several conductors and soloists, including Emma Johnson, Sian Edwards, Paul Lewis, Jack Brymer, Philip Langridge etc., and its Wind Ensemble has undertaken several UK tours, working with the ‘Music in the Round’ scheme, and in partnership with pianist Paul Lewis.
Their programme comprises two masterpieces: Dvorak’s Serenade in D Minor and Mozart’s Gran Partita for 13 Wind Instruments. Don’t miss this chance!
