Visit to Shrewsbury

The second trip out for the students not sitting exams was to Shrewsbury on Wednesday 18th June, again with Miss Shaw.

The students enjoyed a stroll round The Quarry park, although Vasili wished he'd taken his baseball bat with him for a game on the grass. They met Hercules (the statue), fed the ducks in the Dingle, and then ate their picnic lunch inside the castle grounds. All students were interested to discover that Charles Darwin had grown up in Shrewsbury and had a shopping centre named after him.

Again, the students had free time to wonder round the shops and then enjoyed traditional cream teas at Miss Shaw's parents' house in the town before heading back to school.
