Hong Kong Visit

Director of Recruitment Visits Hong Kong

Director of Recruitment Mrs Cathy Hopkins has recently returned from a trip to Hong Kong where she attended the Academic Asia Expo, an opportunity for prospective parents and pupils living in Hong Kong to meet representatives from independent UK schools.  During the Expo several current parents kindly acted as interpreters and Mrs Hopkins thanks Mr Ip, father of Benson Ip (Yr 13), Mr Leung, father of Steven Leung (Yr 9) and Ms So, mother of Derek Tong (Yr 10).  Mrs Hopkins is also grateful to Mrs Chau, mother of Wisely Chau (former Head Girl) and Mr George Wai, a former pupil who left the school in 1994 and now works in Hong Kong, who also helped during the event.

The weather in Hong Kong at this time of year is warm and humid but luckily the rain, which can often be frequent and heavy, managed to stay away for most of the time.

Mrs Hopkins says: “The visit was extremely successful and several families have expressed an interest in their children joining Oswestry School.”
