Year 8 Language Cafe

English Chefs follow German Recipes to make Italian Food.

Year 8 students of German had to eat their own words when they put their language skills to the culinary test last week.
As part of the German course, Year 8 learn about food in Germany; they put this into practice by following simple recipes.

In this case, it was pizza! The students had to ask for all the ingredients in German and then follow the recipe instructions (also in German) to make their own pizzas.

Mmmm lecker !


Le Café TP

The gastronomic tour of Europe continued with a visit to Le Café TP (proprietors Mesdames Tickner and Payne), to sample the delights of Le Petit Déjeuner. This time students had to give their orders and comment on how much they enjoyed their food, but were only allowed to speak in French.
