Sixth Form Foreign Languages Conference

Thirteen students from Oswestry School took part in this conference at the Festival Drayton Centre, Market Drayton, Shropshire.

The purpose of the conference was to support A-level MFL students with their studies. The day was split into three sections. In the morning there were sessions presented by native French, German and Spanish speakers covering various topics on the A-level syllabus. Following mid-morning refreshments the students took part in conversation sessions in small groups. After lunch, the focus turned to the advantages of studying languages at university with a view to future careers.

Later in the afternoon the students were given the opportunity to experience taster sessions in Russian and Chinese.
