U13A
After a morning of torrential rain, it was a welcome sight to see the clouds clear and the sun appear as all last week's matches had been cancelled due to the atrocious weather.
It was evident from the start that this would be a closely-contested game with King's keeping possession of the ball, interspersed with some excellent interceptions from Georgina Mercer and Emily Bromage. Our U13 attacked well, but folded a little once the pressure was on, making wild passes and not making the best use of the space on the court. They edged ahead by one goal coming into the final quarter but excellent shooting and tight defence work from King's enabled them to close the gap.
This was an excellent game and a very fair result of 7-7.

U13B
This was the U13s first game of the season and they made a promising start, gaining the majority of the posession in the opening quarter. However, the passing was not always effective and some basic errors were made. As the game progressed, we improved and became more settled, selecting more appropriate passes and making better use of space. Isabel Makin demonstrated some very good defensive work, making several vital interceptions to deny King's Chester.
At half time, we led 5-1.
In the second half of the match, Kings Chester came back stronger and the possession became more even. We continued to play well as a team and defended well. Although under pressure at times, we managed to regain the possession to enable Emily Lunt-Evans and Emma Bell to score a further 4 goals.
The match ended with a victory for us; winning 9-4.
