French Exchange Students Depart

Thirteen students from Oswestry School are setting off today on a 7-day French exchange visit, accompanied by Mrs Chidlow and Mr Jensen. They are travelling to the Lycée St Jean at Besançon in north east France. The students, who are studying French at GCSE or A level, will be staying with French families or the Lycée’s boarding houses.

“We are all looking forward to our visit,” said Mrs Chidlow. “As well as taking part in lessons at the Lycée, we have visits to Dijon and Beaune; we shall also be going to ‘Musiques des Rues’, which is a popular live music festival in Besançon.”

This is the second leg of the French exchange. In March 2008 a group of students from the Lycée St Jean visited Oswestry for 9 days.

Bon voyage a tous!
