1st XI, 2nd XI v King’s School Chester (h) 2.30pm

Football Report for Season To Date: Charles Pierce, Captain of Football

The season is now underway and all teams have had mixed fortunes.

The First XI enjoyed a day in Manchester at the I.S.F.A Six a Side tournament and, although not recording a victory in its four matches, they did have the pleasure of meeting Sir Alex Ferguson. In their inter school fixtures they have drawn with Wrekin College, beat Llanfyllin HS 3-0 (the first victory for some years over them) and suffered 2 defeats at the hands of Welshpool HS and Wolverhampton GS.

The Under 15 XI have recorded one victory over Kingsmead but suffered defeat at Llanfyllin, Welshpool and Abbey Gate.

The Under 14 XI have had a similar results but did win at Abbey Gate 3-2 in a highly entertaining game.

The Under 13 XI won at Kingsmead but have since failed to record a victory in 3 matches although they came close in a well contested game at Abbey Gate losing 2-1.

The Under 11s have played one game and won comfortably against the Roman Catholic School.
