Crucial Crew (Park Hall) 11.30am - 3.15pm

Today Year 6 attended the Rotary Club of Oswestry’s Crucial Crew initiative at Park Hall in Oswestry.

The day consisted of a variety of scenarios designed to increase awareness of potential dangers and safety procedures.  Topics dealt with included dangers inside the home, out on the road, building sites, farmyards, near water and railways.  Simple first aid techniques were explained and the pupils were also warned about stranger danger and the use of internet chat rooms.

All of the scenarios had been very carefully planned and the children had a most enjoyable day but above all they gained an invaluable experience in terms of their personal safety.
