Trip Returns

Mrs Morris’ Report

A brilliant week, the pupils were a real pleasure to be with; they received many plaudits from rep, hotel staff, instructors for their friendliness and good behaviour.

Several of the advanced skiers achieved the top award of 5 star with distinction and all of them gained good off-piste experience with the ski school's top instructor.  The intermediate group also had a very good week, with almost all achieving the top award for their level, 3 star with distinction.  In the beginners group, Edward Green and James Dawson made particularly good progress, achieving 3 star awards.

In the snowboarders’ group, Liam Chambers took part in a filmed assessment, having been recommended by his instructor for Interski's scholarship scheme.

The children benefited from the support provided by Miss Shaw's fluent Italian and Mr Philp's knowledge of sports injuries, although, thankfully, there wasn't too much demand for the latter.  The pupils enjoyed the various après-ski activities, which this year included visits to a typical pizza restaurant, ice-cream parlour, bowling, disco and presentation evening.

Plans are already in hand for next year's trip.
