Recital Series

2007-2008 Programme Launched

Series Director: Christopher Symons

LAST YEAR’S CELEBRATORY SEASON for the School’s Sexcentenary resulted in record audience numbers. Every concert seemed to meet with enormous approval, but for most people the final two evenings—the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and Alfred Brendel—really set the seal on a memorable year.

The line-up for 2008 should appeal to most tastes, and early purchase of tickets is warmly recommended. Many musiclovers were unable to get in to at least two of last Season’s recitals, and both our regular venues have only limited capacity.

In October, the brilliant London Mozart Trio makes a welcome return. Then, in November, an exciting programme of twopiano music will be given by Martin Roscoe and Christopher Symons.

The renowned baritone Stephen Varcoe will perform a song recital in February, and in March we will welcome the exciting chamber group, Ensemble 360 (so called because they play ‘in the round’). In April we have a wonderful double attraction: the London Mozart Players, with violinist Tasmin Little. To close the Season, fun and games, with the widely popular group ‘Red Priest’.
