Students Create New Magazine

This week sees the launch of a brand new general interest magazine created by the students of the school.

Titled The OS, the magazine is 36 pages, A4 size, with 16 pages in full colour. We have a mix of features within those pages all written and illustrated by students of the school from ages 2-18. We have a star interview with Jemima Rooper the actress who portrayed 'George' in TV's Famous Five series. She is currently starring in the West End in the theatre where two of our students caught up with her to conduct the interview. Jemima has a list of tv and movie credits a yard long. We have a piece written by a student who attended the school in the 1940's. He writes about what life was like at the school during the Second World War. We have pages on students pets and an exciting photo-strip adventure featuring some of our younger pupils. There are features on the movies Casino Royale and Rocky Balboa, fashion pages and an article on overcoming shyness. Poetry, sport and a super Doctor Who competition round off this bumper number one issue.

The editor, Tim Quinn, who has worked with the students is a former editor for the world famous Marvel Comics company in New York where he edited Spider-Man and the X-Men.
