Students turned out in force to welcome HRH the Duke of Gloucester as he visited and toured the school today in celebration of our sexcentenary.
Although the arrival of the Royal Party was delayed by the weather conditions, the programme for the visit was as below.

11.45 am HRH The Duke of Gloucester KG GCVO accompanied by his Equerry (Captain Ben Sempla-Ntege) and Personal Protection Officer (Sgt Iain George) will arrive at School House,

11.50 am Mr Paul Stockdale and The Chairman of Governors will escort His Royal Highness to the Archive Room where he will meet the School Governors and their spouses (arranged in appropriate groups). There will be an opportunity to view items associated with the 600 year history of the school. Refreshments will be available. His Royal Highness will be invited to sign the visitor’s book and a photograph.
11.55 am His Royal Highness escorted by Mr Paul Stockdale will proceed to the Pool Room. Mr Stockdale will ask leave to present five international students plus four House Parents. The five international students are:-

12.00 pm His Royal Highness escorted by Mr Paul Stockdale will proceed to the School Chapel. The Choir will give a short performance. Mr Stockdale will ask leave to present the Director of Music (Mrs Sue Morris). His Royal Highness escorted by Mr Stockdale will exit the Chapel, and will proceed through the Car Park. There will be parents, teachers and pupils in this area. His Royal Highness will proceed up the hill and will be able to view Tennis and Netball being played.
12.05 pm His Royal Highness will enter the Science Block. There will be a typical science lesson taking place. Mr Paul Stockdale will ask leave to present the Science Teacher (Mrs Margaret Hart).
12.10 pm His Royal Highness escorted by Mr Paul Stockdale will proceed to Holbache House and will view the common room. His Royal Highness will meet a group of eight teachers and in addition four pupils will be working at their computers.
12.15 pm His Royal Highness escorted by Mr Paul Stockdale will proceed to the Six Form Block. Outside the reception area, Mr Stockdale will ask leave to present:-
