Rounders

Two Senior Teams, U15, U14 v Ellesmere College (a) 3.30pm

Seniors - Won 8.5-6.5
The team gelled together from the start, batting well and co-operating excellently with the fielding in a close match.  Congratulations to all the VI formers, particularly as many are now going on exam leave and this was their last rounders match for the school.

U16s - Won 12-7
The batting was not up to their usual standard in the first innings but, under tricky conditions, the team made excellent use of half rounders to edge ahead.  They then fielded excellently with Anna James and Lucy Belcher taking some brilliant catches.  Oswestry batted much better during the second innings; again some really good displays of fielding, particularly between backstop and first post. Oswestry deserved their win.

U15s - Won 12-2.5
A strong team performance by Oswestry who won the game comfortably 12 - 2.5.  Well done to all of the players.

U14s - Lost 4-6.5
Oswestry were first to bat and took some time to settle into the game, not showing their usual batting skills. However some good fielding, in particular from Charlotte Hartey, kept the game very close and by the end of the first innings Ellesmere were leading by only 1.5 rounders. In the second innings, Oswestry only managed to score another two rounders and didn't really find their form.  Ellesmere batted well and won the game  6.5 - 4 rounders.
