'Les Misérables' Masterclass Rehearsal (am)

This morning, pupils rehearsing for the forthcoming school production of 'Les Misérables', were treated to a masterclass with Mak Wilson.

Mak has extensive knowledge and experience to use with the young students having been an actor, director, producer, animator and puppeteer in his successful career, working on films including 'The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy', 'Babe' and 'Lost in Space' - just look him up on the imdb!

Fresh from masterminding the brilliant puppetry for the Scissor Sisters performance at the Brit Awards, Mak watched the cast rehearse several of the key scenes and offered advice, direction and comments, all with the aim of helping and encouraging the students to bring the show to life.

Many thanks to Mak, father of Tom in Year 8, for taking time out of his busy schedule to come in and assist in this way.

The production runs from Thursday 22nd to Saturday 24th March (when the scenery will have been transformed from the New York of last year's 'Guys and Dolls').
