Variety Night is Thursday 5 March 2009, but the closing date for entries is Wednesday 25 February.
Do you have a secret (or not so secret) talent?
Can you sing, dance, act, play an instrument solo or in a band?
Can you mime, tell jokes, or do magic?
Back by popular demand, the Parents’ Association is planning a very special evening of entertainment, and all pupils, parents and staff are invited to come along and perform at the renowned ‘Oswestry School Variety Night’ on Thursday 5 March 2009.
It will be up to each artist or group of artists to rehearse and perfect their act in their own time and also provide their own backing track, instruments or any props they might need.
We stress that this will be very much a light-hearted amateur show. However, we may need to ask people to audition if we have an overwhelming response and also to ensure that acts are of a suitable nature. We envisage having about two hours of entertainment with an interval, and are looking for a variety of different kinds of talents to entertain and amaze!
Tickets for the shows will be on sale nearer the time; watch out for the notice, as they sell like hot cakes. Don’t miss your opportunity to see young and not so young talents as you may never have seen them before!
If you wish to be considered as a performer, please download an application form and return ASAP to Mrs Davies (School Secretary).
Closing date for entries is Wednesday 25 February 2009.
