U9 tag rugby vs Whittington Primary School
On a wet and windy Friday afternoon our U9 B team welcomed Whittington Primary to Oswestry School for a tag rugby match. It was the first time the boys had played together and they put on a fine performance against a very strong Whittington team who eventually won the game 12-7.
Wearing a brand new kit (donated by the PA) the boys got off to a slow start with Whittington scoring an early try, however the boys got to grips with the game and scored some excellent tries with good all round contributions and some very good team work.
All the boys played well and should be very proud of a superb performance. A special mention must go to Man Of The Match Josh Counter, Josh is only in Year 2 and he scored two very good tries against a Whittington team consisting mainly of Year 4 boys.
