U9 kwik cricket vs Whittington Primary School
Our Year 3 and 4 boys and girls took part in the first ever kwik cricket festival to be held at Oswestry School. The visitors to school for this opening week were Whittington Primary school. The first hour involved a skill based circuit and allowed the children to interact and make new friends whilst also learning the basic skills required to play cricket.
After this the schools were split into four teams and played matches against each other. The Maes-y-llan was a sight to behold with four matches taking place at the same time around the cricket square, with both schools demonstrating some superb batting, bowling and fielding.
It was Oswestry that came out on top winning three out of the four matches that were played. All of the Oswestry boys and girls did extremely well with a special mention to Katie Scott, Lola Kynaston-Evans and Anna Warner who the coaches thought showed the most improvement throughout the day. A huge well done to all the boys and girls for what was an excellent day.
