U15 XI Match Reports v Shrewsbury & Kingsmead Schools

U15’s Match report versus Shrewsbury School

On Wednesday the 9th of November Oswestry School travelled for an away game against Shrewsbury School. The side kicked off with a sharp start to the game creating chances at the other end one opportunity after another, but we were struggling to finish the off the chances and the first half ended 0-0.

We kicked off the second half the same way we kicked off the first half and a dominating Oswestry side came out on top with a goal from Nathan Nottingham. Not long after a through ball from Edward Ellis-Cooper was played through to Marc Pascual to finish off a second goal for Oswestry and not long after that a third goal was scored again by Nathan Nottingham. The Shrewsbury side managed to get a goal back but the defence still maintained a strong line and the score ended with a 3-1 win to Oswestry.

U15's Match Report versus Kingsmead School

On Saturday the 12th November Oswestry were the hosts to a tough Kingsmead side. The first half kicked off and a struggling Oswestry side conceded a goal and not long after they managed to score a second goal. Our heads were starting to drop and conceding another two goals we were encouraged and now we were starting to fight back creating some chances at the other end. With an effort from Edward Ellis-Cooper that curled into the top corner of the net we managed to grab a goal back ending the first half score at 4-1.

We went back onto the field with confidence and now Oswestry were starting to create even more chances in their box. Kingsmead, however scored a 5th goal on the break, but then a rapid David Bang came storming up the pitch to score a 25-30 yard screamer that went off the bar and into the top corner of the net which had the whole team stunned with amazement. Not long after, a goal from Marc Pasqual brought Oswestry up to three goals. The final score ended 6-3 against a very tough and physical Kingsmead side.
