U13 XV vs Wrekin College - Team Report

Oswestry U13 XV vs  Wrekin College

OswestrySchool_U13XV_thmb
On Saturday 21th January Oswestry School travelled to Wrekin College. Oswestry started the game slowly and conceded two early tries to take the score to 12-0 to Wrekin. Oswestry didn't give up and a great try from Calum Jones in the last play of the half left the half time score at 12-7.

Oswestry started the second half strong and piled on the pressure with some great runs from Donald Gray, Calum Jones, Ross Jones and Harri Jones. Good rucking from the forwards ended in a try from Ross Jones.

Oswestry then continued the pressure and Calum Jones scored again, but unfortunately went unconverted. Great hands from the backs set up Calum Jones for his third try which was converted by Harri Jones. Wrekin started to counter attack, but with great defence from the whole team especially the forwards Archie Kynaston-Evans, Martin Pace-Bonello and James Wigley, Wrekin were prevented from scoring again. This left the end result at 24-12 to Oswestry School.

I would like to thank all the lads for that great performance, especially in defence.

Man of the match goes to Calum Jones for his hat trick.
