Oswestry School v The Marches
On the 23rd March, Oswestry School played The Marches School. The game started off with Oswestry kicking to the Marches. With runs from Mathew Cooper, Zak Dobie and Xavier Clarke, Oswestry put pressure on The Marches team. The first try came late in the first half which was scored by Matthew Cooper. Unfortunately the conversion was missed.
The second half went under way with The Marches scoring an early try which wasn’t converted. The Marches put more pressure on Oswestry in this half and were close to getting some more tries, but with a strong defensive line held by Oswestry they were unable to score anymore tries. The last try was then scored in the last minutes of the game by Zak Dobie which was unconverted.
The game ended 10-5 to Oswestry School.
Man of the match goes to Zak Dobie for his outstanding work in defence and his 80 yard run to the try line .
