On Wednesday 21st March 2012, Oswestry School U12 netball team played at Ellesmere Collage. This was the U12's first tournament of the season.

Oswestry School's first match was against Thomas Adams. The team were passing the ball swiftly down the court towards the attacking end, which then made the score 1-0 to Oswestry. At half time the score was one all. Thomas Adams came back scoring another goal, but Oswestry managed to get the final score two all.

The next match was against Ellesmere College. Oswestry's defence was strong but Ellesmere managed to score three goals. The team had a few chances to score but the ball just didn’t want to go in the net! After half time Ellesmere ended up scoring another four goals which made the final score 7-1 to Ellesmere.

The third match was played against Rhyn Park. Sian Grice scored in the first few seconds of the game. Rhyn Park's defence were strong which made the score 1-0 at half time. With a few changes with the positions the team were back on court. A few minutes into the match Oswestry managed to get another goal which made the final score 2-0.

The last match was against The Marches. The Marches were a strong team but Oswestry managed to keep the score at one all up until half time.  After half time the team managed to score enough amazing goal and the final score was 2-1 to Oswestry.

After a quick rest the team were told that Oswestry could be in the semi final if Thomas Adams lost against the Marches. Then the whistle went and the team were told that they were in the semi final versus Adcote.

Oswestry School were playing well in the semi-final with Sian Grice and Eleanor Christie shooting, at half time the score was 2-1. Oswestry kept their defence strong but it wasn’t strong enough with Adcote scoring yet again. Unfortunately the final score was 5-2 to Adcote, which meant Oswestry were knocked out.

A big thank you to Becky Adcock for umpiring our matches and Mrs Willis for coaching us.
