Oswestry School 1st XV vs Repton 1st XV
Oswestry School first team started their rugby term with a well fought win against Repton. With only one training session under their belts and a couple of training games Oswestry went into the game a little green. The game was a tough battle up front and when Oswestry started to win fast ball from the rucks this allowed the Oswestry backs to run. Scott Vallely scored twice in the game, he had a great game on the right wing. New arrivals Joe Zhou and Dabba Ndaba played their part in the win with Joe scoring after returning from a spell in the sin bin. A positive start but with plenty to work on.
Final score Oswestry 17 – 5 Repton.
