Outstanding U14 rounders vs Moreton Hall

Oswestry_School_16.5.12_080-thmb_3.jpg
U14 v Moreton

An outstanding result against a strong team. Our strength in fielding, stripped Moreton of the opportunity to run a high scoring game against us.  The combination of bowling,  backstop and first post play from Megan Williams, Antonia Laundy and Jess Pugh saw six of Moreton’s players being stumped out in a row, thus being denied the opportunity to have a further batting opportunity.

Particularly strong fielding form deep field, and slip positions to second base (Amelia Mercer), continued to deny Moreton half rounder scoring opportunities.

The particular delight with this squad is the flexibility in play we can produce through high level skills and knowledge.  This is proving highly successful in adapting playing positions when batting or fielding, everyone has the opportunity to be involved at some point.

I am really proud of every squad member, thank you for your maturity and valued skill contributions.

Squad: Jessica Pugh,Isobel Adegboyega, Amelia Mercer, Megan Perkins, Megan Williams, Antonia Laundey (C), Abi Adcock, Marissa Gould, Jasmine MacDonald, Tilly Hancock, Gracie Hindley, Katie Tomley.

Well done ladies.
