1st XV vs Kings, Chester, 21st March

Oswestry School v Kings Chester.

The team arrived in high spirits as we have had a great season up to this point and were on track for an undefeated season. Within the first few minutes, Ali Johnson received the ball on the wing and crashed over the line with brute force. This was shown to be the first of many, as within minutes of the last try Oswestry School won the lineout and scored from 10m out (Lewis Lee). This however seemed to slow down for the rest of the half with Kings remaining in the Oswestry School 22. We were constantly deemed offside by the referee.

The next half proved to be the proof of our potential as a team scoring tries with skill and initiative with Joe Zhou scoring a hat trick of tries, Ali Johnson scoring another one to add to his tally and Josh Hunt scoring two tries.

The final score was 47-17. Well played to all the boys and hopefully we shall maintain this winning streak.
