In 2007 Oswestry School's Under 18 football team took part in a six-a-side tournament in Manchester which was attended by the football legend Alex Ferguson.
Oswestry School is very saddened to learn of the recent passing of a talented and respected teacher, Keith Hawkins.
Gina Paletta, OO, has always been a very accomplished runner since her running days here at Oswestry School
and now she is in America her career is striding ahead.

Oswestry School and Old Oswestrian Society are saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Glyn Thomas OO 1955-1960.
Martyn Bracegirdle OO (1956-1965) and Oswestry School governor has participated in the Le Jog Car Rally from Land's End to John O'Groats on the 1st -4th December.
Founder's Day 2012 was a wonderful success and enjoyed by all. The service at St Oswald’s started the celebrations off with a humorous and engaging sermon provided by Rev Gary Dobbie, Chaplain at Shrewsbury School. The service was followed by coffee at the Wynnstay Hotel, a new addition to the Founder’s Day programme. This proved to be a very successful addition with old friends reuniting and meeting teachers they had not for many years.

OO Libby Gliksman, 1999-2006, has sung herself into local fame, selling out her latest concert at the Walls restaurant.
Oswestry School and OO Society are very sad to announce the recent passing of one of our long standing and much respected teachers, Kath Mellor.
The Old Oswestrian Society is saddened to learn of the recent passing of Bruce Baird, who was at Oswestry School between 1948 and 1957, has died at the age of 73.

Independently of each other both Rochford Dyer and Les Ward have been in contact with Rachel Bowd in the space of a month to recount the joys of their sporting lives whilst at Oswestry School, in particular the 1965 cricket team.
Chris Wylie OO (1954-1959) has very generously taken the time to fly over the School and take photos from the skies.
David Baird, OO 1945-1954 has had a very successful career as an international journalist and author.
On 22nd August Sammy Wong and his wife Queenie
, both OOs, visited the School, the first time since they left eighteen years ago!
Stuart Owen (1977) and Sharon Banks (1975 - 1977) have returned to look around their old School.

Queens Jubilee: Friends of the school might have seen or heard there has been an engraved stone bench (stone to match the Chapel) to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee placed outside the memorial garden at the bottom of Quarry path.
