Memories of Oswestry School from the 1950s

Derek_Poulton_th_1.jpg
Derek Poulton OO (1947-1953) recently made contact with the OO Society for the first time since he left School, stirring memories of his time there.  Visits to Upper Brook Street over the years had kept these memories fresh and he sent in a brief account earlier in the year which appeared in an earlier OO Latest News item on this website.
Derek has now written a fuller account of his memories for the latest OO Newsletter.  However its length means that it is better to feature it here, together with the photos he also sent along.
Derek says that he found sharing his memories "most interesting and rewarding", and that it "brought back many happy memories" for him and he hopes that "it will for those who read it".
If you would like to share your memories of your days at Oswestry, please contact Rachel Bowd. Read More
