Martyn Completes Prestigious 1,400 Mile Rally

Driving a 1959 Daimler SP 250, Martyn Bracegirdle MBE OO (1956-1965) and navigator Mike Lewis, overcame tough conditions to complete HERO's Le Jog 2011, a 1,400 mile Reliability Trial and Classic Car Tour from Land's End to John O'Groats between 10th and 13th December 2011.

Oswestry School Celebrates Founder's Day

The School celebrated Founder's Day on Saturday 26th November. The day commenced with a church service at St Oswald's with the Venerable Paul Thomas, Archdeacon of Salop as the guest speaker.

Farewell to Ray Evanson

Shropshire’s Oswestry School has said farewell to its deputy headmaster who has clocked up 33 years at the school and is the longest serving member of staff.

Ray Evanson, 58, who lives in Shrewsbury, was also the school’s chaplain and has been involved in teaching economics, geography and religious studies during his years there.

Martin Thorpe - Parent, Governor and Honorary Old Oswestrian

Martin Thorpe passed away on Sunday 3^rd July at the age of 58 after a short illness.

Martin’s life will be celebrated with family and friends at 2.30 on Friday 8^th July at the School Chapel.
