Four A' Level students completed the challenging First Round Chemistry Olympiad paper set annually by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Over the next nine weeks pupils will be given the chance to take part in activities every lunch time (weather permitting). The focus will be on a country and different sport each week.
Oswestry School Grounds maintenance department have been commended by the town's cricket club for their excellent work in improving the square and outfield.

The Oswestry School Year 7 team took part in the final of the 'Be Cool, Be Safe' at Telford Fire Station on 24th April.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service introduced the "Be Cool Be Safe" Safety Quiz to 'educate the children of today to become safer adults for the future.'
The annual fun-filled Easter holiday trip to Aosta/Pila in Italy was, yet again, a great success. Snow conditions improved by the day, with overnight and morning snowfalls producing amazing pistes and spectacular Alpine views, including Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa and the Matterhorn.
Mr Cattley (Director of Music) would like to invite anyone with some experience of singing to join in the local Olympic celebrations by performing a brand new anthem as part of a mass choir. The work
‘Oswestry’ has been specially composed for the event. The aim is to encourage as many singers to get involved as possible to celebrate this inspirational sporting and cultural event bringing the Oswestry community together.
Sixteen pupils from Years 5 to 8 took part in the Junior Public Speaking Competition, held in the PHC.
This proved to be extremely popular with local youngsters. The week was spent developing new and existing football skills and having fun.

Earlier this term a charity ball, in aid of Help for Heroes, was held for Year 10 students at Oswestry School. Caitlin Jones and Natasha Holmes decided on Help for Heroes as their chosen charity as they both have close links with the services.
The School held a Careers and Higher Education Convention in the PHC. It was designed to provide pupils from Year 9 upwards with information and guidance about future jobs, careers, university applications and gap years.
On Saturday March 31
st Oswestry School’s Public Speaking team, consisting of Georgina Mercer, Joe Collinge and Chris Jones, competed in the National Finals of the BPW Public Speaking competition.
House Music presented a wealth of talent this year and fierce competition saw the final results only having a difference of four marks between the houses.

This term several pupils from Years 8 to 10 have been busy taking part in Maths Challenges.
