Year 11 pupils selected for Ski Scholarship Selection Day
Jamie McMurray and Matteo O'Mahoney are excited to have been nominated by Interski instructors to be two of twenty four candidates selected from a significant number of recommended skiers.
They will take part in a day of training at the CHILL FACTORe where members of the Interski Snowsport School will choose ten candidates who show the best ability and aptitude. These scholars will then go forward to have the chance to become BASI instructors. Selected candidates are provided free of charge, all return transport, accommodation, full board, insurance, lift passes, ski jacket, skis, boots and poles.
Oliver Newman (Year 13) was selected last year from over 3,000 candidates. Having already completed his BASI Level 1 in December he returned to Italy during the Easter holiday and succesfully completed his BASI Level 2 course with a national trainer. He is now qualified to teach!
