Sale Sharks Rugby Academy

Two of our rugby players, Kudzai Zhou and Thabani Ndaba, were given a taste of what it takes to become a top-level player – and a good dose of cold English weather in the process!

Kudzai and Thabani, who are on exchange from Prince Edward School in Zimbabwe, were invited to Sale Sharks Academy, one of the country’s leading rugby union clubs. They played against the North of England U18 Schoolboy team.

The experience was hugely worthwhile, they said, though they both admitted they had plenty of work to do to their game to take it to a higher level!

They also remarked that northern hemisphere rugby was very different to the rugby they were used to in the southern hemisphere.

Participants also received full contact training and coaching was provided by professional coaches from Sale Sharks and the RFU. They were given expert feedback on their progress and given advice on how to continue their development and work on any aspects of their game which need strengthening.
