Oswestry School at the Show
The 127th Oswestry Show went ahead despite the weather which held out until the afternoon. Oswestry School's stand had many visitors including parents, OO's and pupils.
Rachel Bowd (OO co-ordinator) was on hand to share archive material.
Pupils took part in various classes with Kizzy Lumley-Edwards (Year 4) and Haydn Cook (Year 3) coming first in their respective age groups with 'A Street Party in a Seed Tray' and ' A Member of the Royal Family made from vegetables/fruit'.
Heavy rain late in the afternoon caused flash flooding and up to eight inches of standing water. The School marquee was pelted with hailstones the size of small marbles for a short time.
The winner of the 4.5 litre bottle of Famous Grouse will be announced shortly, please watch this space!
