A blistering hot day and an early start did not deter three Oswestry School girls who made the two hour journey to Kings Equestrian Centre in Bromyard to compete in the National Schools Dressage Qualifier.
(l-r)Verity Bowen, Timmy Orritt and Caitlin Jones
This was a team and individual competition sadly we did not have enough interest to make up a team so the girls decided to enter as individuals. In the first warm up class Timoney Orritt in Year 7, rode an accurate and flowing test on her 13.2 hh gelding Backley Rollo to claim first place. Caitlin Jones from Year 10 rode well to gain 7th place.
In the qualifying class Timoney came in second place and has qualified for the Championships in Addington in October. Verity Bowen riding her 14h gelding Ranger rode a really good test to come in third place in this hotly contested class.
Well done to all the girls for taking part and thanks to the parents for taking them.
