Help for Heroes Ball

Oswestry_School__Year_10__cheque_for_Help_for_Heroes_011-thmb.jpg
Earlier this term a charity ball, in aid of Help for Heroes, was held for Year 10 students at Oswestry School. Caitlin Jones and Natasha Holmes decided on Help for Heroes as their chosen charity as they both have close links with the services. The students enjoyed a lively evening with excellent food. Caitlin and Natasha would like to thank Mrs Pritchard-Williams and the catering staff for the lovely food provided.

They were very grateful for the donation of raffle prizes from the Gates, Barkers, Textile Express, Pickles and Sarah Holmes.

A big thank you goes to Lewis Bebb, Richard Christie, James Dewing and Edward Ellis-Cooper for performing, Mr Derbridge and Miss Ballespi and the pupils who attended, donated and supported the event.

Special thanks also goes to Gary and Caroline Jones for giving up their evening to run the non-alcoholic bar.

A cheque for £558.78 was presented to the local Help for Heroes representative Ms Beccy Theodore Jones on 30th March 2012.
