Bellan House Wheelchair Basketball Experience

In honour of the forthcoming Olympics and Paralympics, some of the Year 3 and 4 pupils had the opportunity to take part in a wheelchair sports activity morning. Once they had settled into the wheelchairs and had a couple of races (forwards and backwards), it really didn't take long before they were zooming around the hall, passing the basketball, performing quick changes of direction and scoring baskets. The skills involved were new to most of the children and it was a very exciting and enjoyable experience.
